Eglantine Latil

Cellist

Eglantine was born in 1989. From the age of 6 years, she began studying cello under Jacques Froger at the La Rochelle ENMD. She passed her Final Certificate in Musical Studies at age 12 and entered the Conservatoire National de Region de Paris. Distinguished by a Gold Medal after four years in the classroom of Marc Coppey, Eglantine then perfected her skills with Raphael Pidoux. This experience allows her to follow the teachings of great cellists such as Hélène Dautry, Philippe Muller, Xavier Gagnepain in different Master Classes.

Passionate about chamber music, she performed in various groups (trio, string quartet, keyboard quintet) and was invited to play with the Callioppé Ensemble. She participates in numerous concerts and international festivals (including the Stuttgart Festivalensemble under the direction of Helmuth Rilling), enabling her to play in prestigious venues in Paris, Berlin, Frankfurt, Stuttgart …

She is currently perfecting her skills at the conservatory in Cologne as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. This year she became a
member of the German Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (Junge Deutsche Philharmonie) led by Sir Roger Norrington with whom she toured in March 2010 through Germany and Switzerland.
